ANKILA’S MANIFESTOS

The small businesses and people behind our products

SECONDE MAIN

Seconde Main’s leitmotif is “to make high-end fashion more playful and gentler.” For them, the creative process is a game of infinite possibilities. Recovering existing textiles, such as men’s shirts, to extract the raw material, then combining patterns, colours, and textures to create sophisticated pieces that stand out.

MYMITOO

Think of fashion as a way of embodying your personality and desires and leaving a lasting impression. MyMitoo is an ethnic brand inspired by the culture and landscapes of Madagascar that create, from recycled and natural materials, outfits that invite escape, travel and, above all, free expression.

POK POK

Raffia handbags that remind you of the most beautiful poems? Pok Pok has done it. This Malagasy company draws on ancestral heritage and craftsmanship to create elegant, history-filled pieces from raffia, Madagascar’s vegetable fibre. Their workshop is staffed by a team of pampered artisans for whom crochet holds no secrets.

MIARAKA

A one-person workshop in the south of France, exclusive overcycling and a signature product, and finally the Breton miki, a sailor’s headgear revisited and imbued with urban culture: this is Miaraka’s magic recipe. This small company claims to have a style that resonates only if it’s part of reasoned fashion. Their creations are made from unearthed or donated fabrics, then repurposed to create original accessories.
